Introducing Canada provides this needed introduction to works on Canadian history written since 1970, while exploring current themes in politics, economics, external affairs, ethnicity, gender, regional issues, and the working class. It is organized alphabetically by author and focuses on academic works, though some important popular studies are also included. In addition to presenting brief descriptions of more than 1,000 historical monographs dealing with Canada, the bibliography introduces the reader to several historiographic debates and places key works within that context.
