Into the Maelstrom: LitRPG Fantasy Adventure

So, you'd think after accidentally liberating a universe-threatening magical artifact like the Obsidian Core and earning a bounty on my head that could choke a void kraken, a guy could catch a break, right? Maybe find a quiet corner of the galaxy to enjoy some questionable ale and the delightful company of my SSS-Rank airship goddess? Wrong. So very, delightfully wrong.

Turns out, the Core isn't exactly the "sit quietly in a box" type of ancient evil. It's got issues. Big, city-leveling, reality-warping issues. And naturally, who gets dragged into the mess? Yours truly. This time, the party's in Solara, the glittering, backstabbing capital of the Kingdom of Veldrass. The charming Duchess Helena Eldrane, a woman whose beauty is matched only by her ambition (and surprisingly good taste in desperate rogues like me), has "invited" me to help navigate the political viper's nest and deal with the Core's escalating temper tantrums.

Sounds simple, right? Except Solara makes the Wastelands look like a vacation resort. We're talking paranoid boy-kings, ancient conspiracies involving my dear old dad (because of course my family drama has to be galaxy-altering), and the ever-delightful Commander Eryn Greystorm sniffing around, probably with a new warrant for my head and an even bigger chip on her shoulder.

And as if that wasn't enough to fill my dance card, there's this other artifact I picked up - a strange, obsidian-like disc that hums with a power almost as unsettling as Aerith when she's been denied her morning explosions. It seems to be the only thing that reacts to the Core in a way that doesn't involve screaming and running for your life, but whether it's a solution or just another creatively packaged deathtrap remains to be seen.

So, here I am: Captain Aiden Veylar, armed with a crew of magnificent, lethal misfits, a goddess with an attitude problem, an artifact that might save us or kill us all, and a city full of people who either want to kiss me or kill me. Or possibly both. Just another day in the glorious, chaotic life of Captain Chaos. Question is, can we stop Solara from becoming a smoking crater before my luck, or my sanity, finally runs out? Don't bet your last credit on it.
