Right Stuff

I read Joe Konrath's list of the scariest thrillers and saw that he listed David Wiltse's Into The Fire as number one so I ran out and got a copy and I have to say that Joe is at least half right. This is one very scary book but Wiltse's The Serpent is just as scary if not maybe an ounce scarier. But, hey, when you're so scared you're reading under the cvers with every light in the house on and your back against the wall, what difference does it make if the book is number one or number one and one eighth?

John Becker again, doing what he does better than anyone else in the business. This time he's after two villains, one of whom is a sort of stalking horse for the brighter and more fiendish of the two. A bright and gutsy young woman is kidnapped and Becker has to go underground, literally, to flush the killer from a cavern. This book was so steamy it curled my toes and straightened my hair.

I have read all of David Wiltse's books except Blown Away. This one is definately my favorite so far. John Becker has touched my heart and soul. With mysterious messages, in depth looks into John's mind, the thrill of the chase and several different levels of passion, my heart was pounding, my pulse quickening and my hands refusing to put the book down until the very end. We can clone sheep. Let ME know when we can clone characters from a book
