For a first time fiction work, this book and story is really good.

Having been born in Washington, D.C. and then being raised in Bethesda, Maryland (the same as the author), I really enjoyed how Dr. Sherer integrated a number of places and things in the Washington area generally, but more specifically those places and things in Bethesda, North Bethesda (Rockville), Montgomery County and beyond. The story itself is very entertaining, puts forth a really interesting concept, and will keep you reading with enthusiasm to the very end. I certainly hope that this is not the last we will have heard from Dr. Sherer in the area of fiction; a continuation of "Into the Ether" would be a welcome addition to my library, and, I'm sure, yours as well.
