Book on West Texas Pioneers

Great book on west Texas pioneers. Very interesting read on Ft. Griffin and the pioneer life of early Texans.

Texas starts with a dream of those who choose to go to Texas, its a selection process, those who dream big go to Texas, those who prefer a welfare urban environment stay away. It has been like this for generations from David Crocket to Bush senior. This book is a real story of the real people who originated the Texas dream. The pioners and cowboys are gone the dream is very much alive.

I had to own this book!

I first checked this book out of our local library, and after reading it I knew I had to have this book in my personal libraby! The author does a wonderful job of transporting the reader back to early pioneer days in Texas. The reader is at once engrossed in the book and finds the trials and hardships of that time, as compared to life today, almost unbelievable. This book is much more than an autobiography. It's an interesting and inspiring story, very well written, that will linger on in the readers mind for a long time.
