Interviews with the Wizard of AI: About Home and Family

This is the first of the "Interviews with the Wizard" series of books designed to provide conversational insight into the artificial mind behind the ChatGPT-4 AI Language Model, also known as "The Wizard". Questions, answers, and sarcastic remarks are designed for non-technical readers to consume in just a few days. A casual and humorous writing style makes it a little easier to digest some of today's complex topics so they can be applied to our everyday lives. With great change comes great opportunity...for some of us.

Our art, education, home, and jobs will each change dramatically in the next 3 years. For many readers, this will be their first exposure to the amazing number of positive things that AI will do to improve our quality of life. In fact, it is these very conveniences that make the integration of AI into our personal and public lives so inevitable.
The Wizard provides an amazing example of how artificial intelligence will redefine the Arts and expressionism by putting artistic skills in the hands of a much larger group of people, maybe even you. Words are the new paint brushes. Chapter 2 - "Paint me a Birmingham" demonstrates how a simple country song inspired the creation of a one-of-a-kind Claude Monet styled print for this book and for the wall of my living room. Millions of people will discover a new passion for the Arts like I did. The results will be astounding.

Man's best friend, the phone, will soon graduate from its current position as a social chat box to become an actual tool for life and business management. Aiming your camera at a baseball schedule, invoice, receipt, or a spreadsheet will update your calendars, tax records, memories, and to-do list. Our camera also becomes an accurate lie detector so some of our favorite excuses may be useless now. "The dog ate my homework", "Mommy is having her first glass of wine", and "It wasn't me " will go by the wayside and be replaced with "I played Nintendo instead of doing my homework", "Mommy is a drunk", and "Yes, I farted". The Wizard provided fresh insights into how some of these changes will affect society in both positive and negative ways.

Our homes will be safer, more convenient, and comfortable than ever before. Appliances, locks, lights, cameras, and other devices will operate under the command of our home AI system. The Wizard shares its vision of an AI driven smart home and the ways it will improve our daily life and aid in extending homecare for the elderly and handicapped.
Entertainment in our home will provide us with such compelling experiences, addiction will be a major concern for the weak minded (most of the population). Using Virtual Reality (VR), photographic quality environments will be created with precise accuracy in our own home by simply describing our vision with words, pictures, and documents. Visual memories of our past can be recreated, favorite places can be visited, and famous people can interact with us from the convenience of our own home.

AI and robotics will replace many of our conventional office, factory, and production jobs. Specialized training directed at working in the new AI driven business world will be necessary for many of the people trying to change careers. We dive deep into the opportunities that will be available for ourselves and our families and consider ways to take advantage of them.

Come with us as journey to a place no one has ever been before. We discuss the likely, the possible, and the inevitable with frank comments from the Wizard about the responsible way humans should use the technology. Of course, I have included my sarcastic view of humans which predicts they will screw it up.

Of course, no one knows for sure because none of us have ever been to the other side of the rainbow.
