Interview With MAJ David Castor

United States Air Force (USAF) MAJ David Castor served with the Coalition Provisional Authority (CPA) in Baghdad, Iraq during 2003 and in the Joint Net Ops Control Center in Baghdad, Iraq during 2007 and 2008, both in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF). In this July 2012 interview, MAJ Castor discusses how the Air Force Specialty Code (AFSC) (comparable to the US Army military occupational specialty (MOS)) is assigned, the challenges of carrying out his air traffic control mission while in direct combat, and the challenges of keeping communication relays function in remote locations.
