Why discuss Justice in a discussion of Interstellar Law? Would not Justice be the basis of Law? The reason - and need - for this discussion is that Justice is a fluid concept, changing in different eras and locations. Justice may be a very different concept in different cultures. What may be acceptable at one time or place, may be an anathema to another. There is little doubt, then, that concepts of Justice may vary in different space colonies, indeed throughout the interstellar settlements. In this book, we will look at different concepts of Justice - including a Pyramid Model of Justice -- to show its fluid nature in maintaining moderation in the face of self-interest. This is Mr. Risman's 26th law text. Mr. Risman is an Honours LL.B. graduate from the University of London, and obtained his LL.M from the same institution. Mr. Risman is a member of the Society of Legal Scholars of the United Kingdom and Ireland. He has advised the UK Supreme Court, and has spoken at Legal Conferences in the UK and abroad.
