International strategic management (ISM) is the subject of research conducted by the author as part of his PhD program at a School of Advanced International and Political Studies in Paris. This book presents the core of the field research that established the ISM as an interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary theoretical space, corresponding to a new field of scientific research. His thesis enabled the author to define the scope of a theoretical framework that can serve as a basis for future academic developments in ISM, which can now be considered a fully-fledged field of scientific research. This thesis also allowed the author to propose a definition for this new field of research. To conduct his research, the author drew upon the conceptual frameworks of Pierre Bourdieu's theory of scientific fields, as well as neo-institutional theories, management science theories, and organizational science theories. The main advantage of establishing this new scientific field lies in its potential to construct an objective understanding of reality. This scientific field also intersects with a multitude of disciplines, all of which are as essential to it as it is to them.
