It is the year 2063, a few decades after the financial dissolution of the government of the United States of America. Most North American cities or states, desiring to reorganize and remain free, have been aided by the worldwide society for freedom, the Free People of Earth. There is also a group competing to unify bewildered, separated local American governments, as well as other national governments, under a one-world overriding authority, the Sanction.
Both parties are assisted by policing forces. The International Marshals are a military-like organization that provides protection for all individuals, territories, or organizations wishing to remain free. These independent and dedicated men and women, whose command center is in Lucerne, Switzerland, are from all walks of life and nationalities. The Sanction has its own armed enforcement officers, called marauders. These drafted soldiers are mostly from France, where the Sanction is headquartered.
Francesca Castaneda Mu oz is the vivacious yet physically disabled leader of the Beta Project, a colony of scientists who reside together in the Oregon Territory in North America. Believing her researchers are being attacked by the Sanction, Ms. Mu oz is desperate to reestablish the security of the International Marshals, who were once stationed there. In the process, she rededicates her life to Christ and finds love.
Beaugart Ortan, and the four men under his direct command, have been given this assignment. Beau, who is capably gifted in military strategies, is distracted by past regrets and the disappearance of his older brother. He discovers it will take his reliance on God to get along with Ms. Mu oz and provide the protection needed for the residents of the Beta Project.
