The last leader of the IMRO, Ivan Mihailov, reached old age and died in Italy on September 5, 1990. Throughout his life in exile, he wrote and published 4 volumes of memoirs, several other books, as he wrote for the Macedonian Tribune newspaper and maintained ties with the Macedonian Patriotic Organization -MPO in the United States and immigrants in Europe. (For information about MPO and the situation in Macedonia under Yugoslavia after 1944 see my other books!) This was my short documental story about IMRO, a heroic story about the Macedonian Bulgarians. This is a story that continues because new people are born and there will always be people who want to rule over other people, so the struggle for freedom must never stop. Fortunately for us, now the fight is not fought with a weapon in hand, now the fight is for the truth, the truth that is hidden from the people in R.N. Macedonia. Sooner or later, the young people in Macedonia will not only want to know the truth, but will also hold these politicians and the false historians of this republic accountable. Then my mission will be done. Over 130 pictures and documents in this book.
