An Excellent Book

This books provides an excellent introduction to the thermodynamics of SI & CI engines. The text is easy to understand, provides detailed explanations and procedures for engine cycle simulation codes. Unlike Heywood or other engine books where the basis of empirical realtions is hidden in the references, this book provides the necessary details to help understand the process of setting up your own engine cycle code. The book is old but is a must-have for any engine/combustion engineer. Ironic that it is no longer printed.
