A boy with a mask. A young man with a journal. A girl with a skateboard. And a couple of cases of amnesia. The short stories of Intentions are a mix of specks of happiness and unfortunate events, two- or three-page tales and maybe a semi-sprawling chapter-short, themes of friendship, love, and family and... well, mostly those. Put together, these stories are bound to be a rollercoaster of emotions, and if you don't like rollercoasters, well, that's okay, because this is a book. As for the poetry of Intentions, the selection ranges from free verse to structured. There are heavily metaphorical pieces, fairly literal origami instructions, and even a pair of palindrome poems.
