Discovered a new author

My sister purchased this book for me as a birthday present. I had no idea what to expect. I was very pleasantly surprised -- the characters are all well done and enjoyable. The mystery plot is really quite good, and through it you are exposed to the insurance industry (is that what it's really like?), hunting, and northern Michigan. An excellent surprise ending.

A suspense novel with a Michigan flavor.

A suspense novel with a Michigan flavor. If you love the great outdoors and a great suspense novel, then this is the book for you. I've read Mr Zimmerman's articles in national Hunting and Fishing publications and stumbled across his novel and gave it a try. I assumed that it was book about the outdoors but found that it was much much more: Suspense, drama a Michigan setting and an ending that leaves you thinking! This is a book that you must read.

Intentional Acts

I was hooked from the first paragraph. I instantly and easily identified with the characters and environs of "Intentional Acts" The settings, characters and the (less lurid)situations could have been lifted from my own life story, which is more a testament to Zimmerman's ability to connect with the reader than anything else. Zimmerman weaves a tantalzing web that skillfully incorporates vivid and reminiscent images of Michigan's upper penninsula with the yellow underbelly of the insurance industry. Zimmerman deftly paints an all too acurate portrait of the dishonesty and greed that is corporate America while (thankfully)tempering the assault with liberal doses of what can only be described as "the U.P. experience". Big water, cabins, dogs, skunks and all. As soon as I finished the book, I wanted to cancel my insurance and head North.....in that order.

I thought mr. zimmermans book was great. It gave great insights to the graft we all face in the insuance industry. there was a good combination of intrigue, sex and drama. Mr.zimmerman may be the next grissom!!

gripping novel for anyone who likes to read!

This book is a gripping novel for anyone who enjoys reading! It gave me vivid memories of living in Michigan. I lost sleep because I couldn't put this book down. It has the components of any good novel; mystery, romance, and suspense. You will not regret reading this book.
