ev-a-nesce
/ˌevəˈnes/
(verb) pass out of sight, memory, or existence.
It's summer 2064. The trees sway with the breeze. Light illuminates everything in its sight. Blood is the only law. The world was abandoned.
A wave of destruction known as the Evanesce has stormed the earth, stealing all human life in its path. Silence is the new melody. The voices of insanity is her only rhythm. The once bustling Crow Island is empty. Seventeen-year-old Embrie Whitewater is the only one left in her family. After two weeks without human contact, living with only the voices in her head as company, Embrie has reached her breaking point. On a supply run, she's cornered by a soldier. Not knowing where he came from or how he's alive, she agrees to follow him to the island's only city. But if there's one survivor, surely there's more. Unknown dangers lurk amidst the destruction. What's left of humanity rests on Embrie's frail shoulders. Afterall, only the Intellect can end the world.
