Integrated Reservoir Studies

Integrated Reservoir Studies is to acquaint petroleum geologists and engineers with techniques used to characterize hydrocarbon reservoirs, with specific focus on the construction of static and dynamic reservoir models. The overall objectives will be to improve production rates, ultimate recovery, and field economics by identifying potential for infill drilling, recognizing bypassed hydrocarbons, and increasing recovery efficiency. When applied to reservoir studies, the integration process can help foster more effective, less expensive projects. What, however, does integration really mean, under everyday working conditions? Which new technical and professional challenges must be faced? What kind of changes does it imply for traditional ways of working? What is the role of the project leader in the integration process?
