Those with means are abandoning the public schools for private school alternatives, and have been year over year for the last two decades. We are in crisis. We have here a social emergency, an economic emergency, and a national security emergency.

Repainting our schools is not enough. Simply removing oneself from the failed system is no longer a moral position to hold.
