He' seen this happen in other people's lives, but now it's happening to him.

This was an obscure, little ditty of a book I came across at a library. It piqued my curiosity because I love mysteries. This part murder mystery, part legal drama feels very authentic due to author Bernard Raizner's background as an assistant prosecutor turned defense attorney. Based in the 1970s, an assistant district attorney spends the night with a woman, later she stands him up and subsequently rejects him. Later on, she ends up dead. Did he do it? Did he make the threatening phone calls that forced the girl to get a tracking system on her phone? This and other questions will be answered. The book is fairly short, and I breezed through it. Bottom Line: A real page turner with very good courtroom drama and jaw-dropping twists.
