Be prepared for flashbacks…Lots of them.

An inspector calls on a prosperous Yorkshire household during the early 1900s. Seems a young girl probably committed suicide. Inspector Pool (David Thewlis) endeavors to find the underlying cause. One by one, he interrogates…oops, interviews each of the residents and guests. And we go along as each reveals their part in what happened. In the end, there may be some collusion and maybe relief. (We will see). This has a feel of a play; “An Inspector Calls” was based on a play by J.B. Priestley. The movie was an adaptation by Helen Edmundson. There are many movie versions out there. This T.V. version is one of the best. You might remember David Thewlis as Remus Lupin in “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” David Thewlis can make faces that are more expressive than the words used.
