Peter Tran is a medical doctor, with BSc in nanoscience and a one-year MSc, and received his Ph.D. in sports medicine from Bispebjerg Hospital in Denmark, one of the nine Olympic Research Centers worldwide. His parents sold their wedding rings to escape the Vietnam War as boat people in 1977, and arrived in Denmark as refugees with nothing but their clothes, where he was born ten years later. He finished his medical school one-and-a-half-year faster than normal, received major grants along the way, lived in Manhattan during part of his Ph.D., and published his research in high-impact journals. During his studies, he was a national champion in powerlifting, passed the Danish Navy Seals selection, and was featured on a TV special about the Danish Special Forces. He did a VA-internship in Boston Consulting Group (BCG), founded two companies (Elysium Holdings and Elysium), and became financially independent at age thirty. Peter taught himself programming during the COVID-19 crisis and is now a digital MD-PhD nomad who believes in the power of artificial intelligence to boost health-tech into the future. His favorite programming languages are Python and JavaScript, but his verbal repertoire spans seven languages, with complete fluency in Danish, English, and Vietnamese. Although he is a coding monk, he works hard every day toward his vision of a world with no diseases, and superior health and longevity. Currently, he resides in Copenhagen with his wife and daughter.
