A Very Interesting Read...

Insight tells the story of Samantha, a young woman who leaves her home in California to search for truth and redemption on the streets of New York. Since she was a child, Samantha has had dreams of Rachael, and in those dreams she has been able to see everything just as Rachael experienced it. After Samantha is left blinded by a car accident that also killed her mother, it is only through her visions of Rachael that she is able to continue to "see." Unfortunately, this one and only glimpse of Samantha's "sighted" world ends when she "witnesses" the murder of Rachael. The papers, however, have ruled Rachael's death a suicide. Sure that no one will believe that Samantha actually "witnessed" the murder, she sets out on her own to uncover the truth and restore Rachael's reputation. With the help of off-duty NYC police detectives, one of whom is a childhood friend she hasn't communicated with in years, Samantha finds herself in a race against time to expose the killer of Rachael, before the killer has an opportunity to destroy her life and the lives of those so dear to her. What you won't expect, though, is the truth that is uncovered about Samantha's and Rachael's past and the one person who would go to great lengths to keep the truth hidden forever. You'll fall in love with the characters of Samantha, Brian, and especially Miss Ruby and her Ginsu knives! Funny, witty and determined, you won't forget these characters for a long time to come!

A Storyline that blows your mind

Ms. McGee asks if a blind woman in California can witness a murder in New York. I really wanted to know the answer. As I read the carefully woven words of Valerie McGee I was totally and plasantly surprised as to how the story unfolded itself into my hands. I loved this book. It was so different, so fresh, and such an enjoyable read. The characters makes you want to know them and see more of them. I commend Ms. McGee on her first printed efforts and as a fan, look forward to all her other upcoming releases.

Feeling the insight

I must say I enjoyed this book immensely. The characters were obtainable and the flow of it was great. I initially was pointed in the direction of a movie called "Blink" where a woman sees a murder but was blind but I was totally offline with that scenario. I was pleasantly wrong with my intial thoughts. I strongly reccommend this book. Once you pick it up you will not put it down. Congratulations to Valerie Mcgee for a great book.

Insight by Valerie CJ McGee

Insight is a thrill-a-minute, ride by the seat of your pants story, and one I couldn't put down until I'd read the last page and knew the final conclusion! The portrayal of Samantha, a blind woman and her psychic connection with Rachael whom she has never met was at times terrifying, and others heartwarming.I especially loved the way the connection was brought out through the use of dreams, and how the they each were able to experience the other's life in this fashion. It was believable in a way that helped the reader understand that such things might be possible in real life. All the characters in this novel were real and down-to-earth, and all had a voice, even Dex Samantha's seeing eye dog. I really liked this as many authors are not able to juggle multiple characters and personalities with the kind of finesse that Ms. McGee does. In addition to being believable, another characteristic of Ms. McGee's characters are that they are very human, as the reader you are able to see both the good and the bad in all the characters even the ones we might see as being really "bad."I would classify this novel as a Romantic Suspense with a dash of mystery thrown in. All in all it was an extremely enjoyable read and I would recommend it to anyone who likes unusal stories that have a paranormal twist. Ms. McGee made me believe this story was possible in real life!!

Awesome ! Keeps your attention from line one ! The chara

It is a fantastic story. Sort of 'Wait Until Dark' & 'The Eyes of Laura Mars' meet "Murder By Numbers. I got to read it before it was published.Once you start reading you won't be able to put it down. Characters could easily be anyone you know. I laughed, cried and got angry. She did things many authors won't do. The bad guys are human and the good guys flawed The suspense is great and the love scenes realistic without being vulgar. Samantha starts out seeking one answer and gets more. Its a must read bound to become a collector's item. Can't wait to re-read INSIGHT & her next books. It's like the Columbo tv series or the show Monk. but has romance and the paranormal There are three stories cleverly unraveling at once. But it is done in a way that you almost don't realize it. I almost wish it didn't end.Its unique as much as I read I can't think of another truly like it
