Very handy touring guide to Killarney and County Kerry

The Insight Pocket Guide to Southwest Ireland is a compact but highly informative touring guide to SW Ireland, the area south of the River Shannon and west of the City of Cork. This part of Ireland features magnificent sea coast scenary, mountains, historical sites, and gorgeous areas for touring by car or on foot. The Pocket Guide features several maps, including a foldout map suitable for driving, lots of photos, a short history of SW Ireland, and notes on what to look for in each town and area of interest. Some of the major tourist favorites include Blarney Castle with its famous stone, just west of Cork; the old seaport of Kinsale; and Bantry House and Gardens on Bantry Bay. Don't miss the magnificent Dingle Peninsula, including the long beach at Inch, the ancient Christian Gallarus Oratory, and the beautiful Blasket Islands just offshore at the western tip of the Peninsula. The town of Killarney is centrally located in the area for lodging, shopping, and fine eating. Near Killarney is the magnificent Gap of Dunloe, suitable for a walking or biking trip, or even a ride by pony cart. SW Ireland is a place to get off the main roads and explore. Each town and village has its own items of interest set amid stunning scenary. SW Ireland is an excellent destination for a vacation, and this guide is an excellent way to get find things once there.
