Inside, Looking Out: An Agoraphobic's View of the World through Photography

I have agoraphobia as an aftermath of Complex PTSD and other disorders. I spend a lot of my life in my house where I feel the safest. I do feel somewhat safe in a car, or in another house, as long as I don't stay too long. I don't know how I ever made it to India for my daughter's wedding, but I think it was because she was with me. If I go out to the store, or a doctor's appointment, I'm always so happy to know I am going home soon. Most days the only thing I leave the house for is the mail. You can read more about me in my book, One Lovely Truth. These photographs were taken from my different apartments in Alaska, Washington, Oregon, California, and India, as well as some from a plane. They are a mixture of both black and white, and color photography. My world is so beautiful even if it is small. It's my world and how I see it.
