This book is the best I have ever read by Koontz. It is a story of tragedy and love, of fear and faith, of evil and goodness. His writing is beautiful and often times poetic. The story kept me enthralled and entertained throughout. Addison and Gwenyth were mysteries that were unraveled as the story was told.
I thought this had some similarities to Koontz’s Odd Thomas series in that Addison was the one telling it and that his character could see invisible beings amongst the living. But at the end of the book they made some sense of them.
Beautiful and powerful and full of emotion. The best book I have read this year!
Better than I could ever imagine

Recommended by my mom, I was immediately drawn in. Step by step Dean moves you through this story with a little fear, parental compassion for the child, and leaves you with an ending that warms your heart.
Amazing Book

Started out a little slow but it ended up being one of the greatest books I've ever read. Great story and really well written. Koontz never disappoints
