In a distant future where magical creatures exist, Mitch Dime searches for a destiny. He waits on the docks, yearning for everything he could possibly imagine. Then, one night, he discovers he is an Inker. An Inker is a magical being with ink in their veins and can create anything from that ink with their mind.

However, there is also danger. Even though he has his destiny, people aren't so noble. People in the world hate Inkers. They once were guardians until they left without a trace and into the shadows. Some went dark and some were forgotten. So, Mitch is alone. He must go into hiding at a sanctuary. While there, he meets a mysterious fellow named Cames and discovers a secret of his own. Soon, a dangerous man is thrown into the government. He has decided to vanquish all magical creatures who dare to return. He knows of Mitch and kidnaps his family. Mitch, with Cames and his sister Carmella, must go on the journey to find his family and defeat the darkness that is coming. Yet, a dangerous future is shown for Mitch. One he has not foreseen.
