Ink for the Quill

After a bad bout of flu a friend sent me a piece of music, 'Gabriel's Oboe.' This was a key that unlocked a flow of creativity and began the process of producing my book. I had written poetry at a very young age but then the creativity lay dormant for many years. My inspiration came from a vivid imagination, a natural curiosity, my years of working with people in my community, all the challenges of life and my drive to understand the human condition.
I believe once written a piece of poetry needs no explanation and that words heard or written will take on their own meaning. They are there to be unearthed and discovered by how much they uniquely resonate.
