A mysterious illness has befallen Westbrook Medical Center's employees, causing them to go into respiratory failure. As the ICU is beginning to fill up, it's becoming apparent that someone is targeting the hospital's Administrative staff. Ted Maxwell, Westbrook's Patient Safety Officer, has the unenviable task of making sure patients are safe from the malady invading the hospital and assisting the doctors in their pursuit of identifying the cause of the illness.
