Good starting point

I have to confess that I found out a lot of this information the hard way. I played with existing programs and databases. What makes this book so good is that it tells me what it is that I have been doing and what I missed. I do have to weed out what I can use, as I am using SE not online. The CD is almost exclusively online. There are lots of visuals and working code, and tips to get you off the ground. I am using this book to take an Access database and replace it with Informix and integrate it with some existing store-bought manufacturing applications. It is a tad dated, but worth having in your library.
