This book defines and examines Information-Centric Networks(ICNs). The authors describe ICNs from the precepts of contentnaming, routing by name, content-based security, andin-network caching. They discuss the history ofcontent-centric proposals and present a detailed introductionon some current ICN architectures. Research challenges to besolved and some potential applications for ICNs are alsoidentified.
