Before you slap down all that hard-earned cash to figure out how to get your baby to sleep through the night or how to breastfeed or how to discipline your toddler, go get this book. It objectively and concisely evaluates all the major parenting resources, including books, videotapes audiotapes, CD-ROMs, and websites. A page is devoted to each resource reviewed, with a description of its contents and then an evaluation. There is also a handy quick-reference star rating system with a further breakdown indicating each resource's overall rating and its rating for design and ease of use. In addition, the editor includes a short bio of the author and all information needed to locate a copy of the resource, including the publisher and the ISBN. The editor doesn't espouse a particular parenting style and nonjudgmentally identifies the parenting styles advanced in the books she reviews.
