A very good book about the history of our West.

I read this book when I was sixteen back in 1964. I used it for an oral book report. I'm a retired HS American History teacher and, after thinking about it, realized that my oral book report, of this fine Western History book, was the first history lesson that I taught. It's a trip into our shared past which really was not all that long ago.
