Indelible ink reminds us of our own childhood adventures

This book is a series of wonderful vignettes, beautifully written, that remind us of times, places and events in our own lives. Those who like myself were late baby boomers (late fifties, early sixties), will find some of the descriptions to be a bit before our time. But the neighborhoods of the sixties, the toys we played with, and even my experiences with siblings and family members came rushing back as I read this book. I finished it in one sitting. And therein lies my only complaint. I haven't yet seen a sequel.
An insight into my parents' generation.

After years of nagging my father to write this book, he finally has. We spent hours at every family gathering begging my father and his brothers to tell more stories from their past. These stories have given me insight into his generation. Our lives are so busy now that we often miss the opportunity to experience our own family adventures. We are so concerned with our to do lists that we become absent from our own lives. Indelible Ink is a window into a time when family was at the top of our to do lists. As a child of a baby boomer and a soon to be mother, I yearn for these stories. We all need to be reminded of the important things in life, no matter how insignificant they may seem at the time. I am proud of my father for writing this book. He writes with the same honesty and sincerity that he displays in his everyday life.
