First we gave you a series of Cross-Sections books to show you the dynamics of the iconic vehicles from the classic Star Wars® films. Now with the introduction of the Clone Wars™ fleet, DK is bringing... This description may be from another edition of this product.
If you've read the other entries into the Star Wars: Incredible Cross-Sections series, then you may end up disappointed with this one. This book covers a wide variety of ships and vehicles from circa Star Wars: The Clone Wars TV Series, but out of all the ships presented, you only get eight cross-sections overall. You get the V-19 Torrent Starfighter, the Malevolence (The Separatist's Bismarck, across four pages), the Freeco Bike, the Twilight (Anakin's freighter), the Vulture's Claw (A Trandoshan freighter that only appears in one, maybe two episodes), the Coronet (A luxury, vertical passenger cruiser), Hondo Ohnaka's Pirate Tank, and lastly the Halo (A gunship owned by Sugi, a bounty huntress).
The rest of the book is little more than a catalogue of fairly basic information on the vehicles and starships of the Republic and Separatist factions. I can forgive the omitting of some vehicle cross-sections, such as the Venator Star Destroyer, the Jedi Starfighter, the various droid starfighters, because they were all covered in previous (namely the Episode III, Revenge of the Sith) entries of the Cross-Section Series. It's a bit of a letdown given the variety of ships and vehicles shown in the book. The book was published in 2011, a year before Disney bought the franchise by the way so don't expect any Disney era content.
If this is one you simply must have for the sake of completing your collection, then go for it. But otherwise, I'd almost give this one a miss.
