Inclusion of people with disabilities in the development process

Life in rural areas poses particular challenges for people with disabilities in accessing education, training and employment opportunities, despite the enormous efforts made by States and non-governmental organisations. They face many obstacles that prevent them from fully participating in society, as they are often exposed to social exclusion. Disability can aggravate socio-economic status and poverty in a number of ways, including its impact on education, employment, income and the flow of disability-related expenses. Action Research on Disability is about providing support for disability rights and inclusive growth for sustainable human development. It aims to observe a disability inclusion strategy. This research aims to raise awareness of disability inclusion among development actors from the grassroots. It will lead to the inclusion of disability in the implementation of national and local development policies.
