The Kaonde people of Zambia are a very culturally oriented tribe and believe in following through with their traditions. "INAKISUNGU" which in Kaonde means the INITIATE, is a story of two twin Kaonde girls that undergo the initiation ceremony. Though told in story form, it depicts the Kaonde traditions and their simple way of life. Set in the 1960s and the early 1970s, it's a book that's gives an insight specifically into the initiation ceremony of the Kaonde Girl Child.
