Bruno Catalano was born in Khouribga, Morocco, near Casablanca in 1960. Bruno is the third and last child of sicilian family. His first 10 years in this colorful postcolonial society are happy ones, despite incomplete schooling.In 1970, the Catalano family leaves Morocco for France. Bruno experiences this uprooting with no anxiety; he's impatient to discover the metropolis. He adjusts fairly quickly to his new environment, even if, at school, he's sometimes reminded that he's not a native.
