The intent of this devotional is to spend time carefully considering the passages of the Bible which have a direct bearing on the issue of temptation so that the believer is able to gain a better understanding of its origin, nuances, and destructiveness. In so doing they will discover strategies and encouragement to better handle and overcome the temptations which have the potential to damage their relationship with God. The first section of the book deals with the wilderness experience of Jesus as he faced the temptations of the devil, and what we can learn from Him in order to also overcome temptation. The remainder of the book teaches truths about temptation which the believer needs to know in order to assist in winning the battle with temptation.
