Working with her sister and his loyal crew of specialists, he becomes idiotically obsessed with trying to uncover the reason for her sudden murder only to discover he's been part of a larger conspiracy that goes back thousands of years.

Hunted by a powerful group he thinks of as the Vultures, he must uncover a way to stop their internal politics from destroying the world while he finds out why they killed the girl he thinks sort of likes him. As soon as he can stop getting shot at or kidnapped for five minutes, he's right on top of it.
