Bob Scott's ministry as an Anglican priest in New Zealand for over fifty years has him at work in London, at the United Nations in New York and finally on the staff of the World Council of Churches in Geneva for fourteen years. As well as being a parish priest he has been involved in international development issues, human rights, anti-racism work, anti-apartheid campaigns, work alongside Dalits in India and the rights of Indigenous Peoples. It has taken him to many parts of the world. As a gay man he has advocated for gay rights in the community and challenged Churches on their homophobia and rejection of gay Christians. He and his partner Frantisek have been together for over 10 years and were married in 2013 when New Zealand legislation allowed it. Known for his story-telling ability he now writes of the trials and successes of dealing with bureaucracies, homophobia, racism, inter-faith distrust, ecumenical development between churches and many more challenges we face in this decade. He writes with passion, humour and a keen eye for what is happening in any situation. He has always been in the middle whenever advocacy or challenge is needed Hence his story "In the Middle of It"
