Tsunamis to wildfires, hurricanes and tornadoes; loss of health and loss of income; domestic violence and home invasions are just to name a few of the common themes on news and current event programs. Disasters have even plagued the most sacred and historically considered safe environments of the church, school and the neighborhood grocery store. International and domestic terrorism attacks have reconfigured our concept of freedom of travel and diminished our sense of peace and safety. Politicians and world leaders have not been successful in restoring the peace of mind we once had in daily living.While the institutions and people of faith have much to offer, there remains a dark cloud of uncertainty among our fellow citizens. The poetic pen of the Psalmist David is now joined by the quiet yet powerful lyrics of the poetry of Loretta L. Hardrick. This current volume is a pristine example of her ability to connect the consequences of life with the assurance of the written verse.
