IN THE FOREST This story is about a young squirrel, named Snookems, who disobeys the rules and sets out on her own to collect acorns. She doesn't give any thought to the many dangers she will have to face alone in the forest; the biggest danger being the hungry, unfriendly Squawk Hawk. When Snookems' parents find out what she's done, they become worried about her and start searching for her. They join up with some other animals in the forest and encounter many close calls as they search for Snookems. Finally, the animals are able to pull together as a team, find Snookems, and get her home safely. This story is excitement packed, touching, and shows the danger of disobeying the rules while living "In the Forest".
