Circle of Three did not enchant me but.........

I was at wits end looking for an author to replace L.J. Smith who's last book was written when the dinasours still ruled the planet and man lived in caves (since she's my favorite author it has seemed that long)! When I stumbled across The Circle of Three. The Circle of Three series is by no means boring and In the Dreaming was quite interesting but so far in the last few months I've only bought 3 from the series because I feel no urgency to get the whole series (you know where you practically fall in love with a new series and have to get them all right away? Don't have that magic feeling.) Isobel Bird's Circle of Three Series does not take flight but it will keep you up late turning the pages until you've finished this light, fun read. Suggestions on books like those of L.J. Smith and Isobel Bird that you might want to check out:Companions of the Night-Vivian Vande Velde,The Silver Kiss and Blood and Chocolate-Annette Kurtis Clause, The Dark Angel by Meredith Ann Pierce, Any book by Christopher Pike,The Fingerprints Series by Melinda Metz

hhhhmmmmmmm.....

This is defently one of the more interesting books. On Midsummer's Night Annie, Cooper, and Kate go to a festival hosted by a number of covens and local Pagan groups. To say the least, none of them got what they expected. Cooper starts to doubt her involvment in Wicca, Annie starts to heal with her fear/anger with death, and Kate decides which guy! Not one to miss! Later!

The best yet!

Annie, Kate, and Cooper join the Midsummer ritual. There, they call on the fae folk to grace them with their presence. But, as they go their own seperate ways, they begin to find out more about themselves then even THEY knew. Kates devotion to Tyler is put to the test when she FINALLY has to make a choice between the two. Annie has to learn that in death there is always life. And Cooper has to learn the hardest lesson of all. Is her belief in Wicca strong enough to be able to get through THIS test? One of them will be led astray...to find THAT out, you have to read it for yourself. This has GOT to be the best yet. I read it in under an hour, and didn't put it down at all. In fact, i don't even think my eyes left the page!

Reminds me of Francesca Lia Block

I love the CIRCLE OF THREE series. I especially like how Isobel Bird does different things with each book. This book is particularly interesting because she gives each of the three main characters her own adventure. This allows each girl's special qualities to be explored and we find out a lot about what each one is learning on her journey into Wicca. Based on Shakespeare's A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM, this is a wonderful updated version. It reminds me of the kind of thing Francesca Lia Block does, but more rooted in reality. I hope Bird continues to follow individual storylines for the girls so that we learn more about them and their lives.

Wow! I can't wait for the next one!

In the book "In the Dreaming" the circle of three girls celebrate Midsummer's eve with absollutely no idea what's in store for them. All they know as they where told to come in dressed in costume. So when they all set out in the woods alone they each embark on a new exciting adventure. Cooper runs into a girl named Bird and finds herself up to a challengeing trial with only her talents and instict as her guide. Annie finds herself in the middle of a battle between too wood kings and is forced to reflect on a part of her life that scares her the most. Kate is sent out to find true love. Dose she love Tyler or Scott? The fairy Queen is going to make her choose. They all face their own trials but at the end of the day the circle of three will become a circle of two.I think this is a very suspenceful read and it's a very good book. Unlike the other books in the series we don't get focused on just one person but we get to see what happens to everyone. The ending is quite a cliffhanger. If you like the other books in the Circle of Three series you'll like this.
