The work, in common time signature, is scored in Concert Key of Bb Major with modulations into Eb and Ab and a return to Bb at the end. In addition to the five parts for a trombone quintet, there are two trumpet parts that double the first and second trombones and a Horn part that doubles 3rd trombone, thus the work could also be performed by a brass quintet. Also included are parts for tuba (doubling the bass trombone) and T.C. Baritone (doubling 4th trombone). This allows great programming flexibility for music teachers at any level.
