This book is out of print, but if you ever see a copy buy it. Middleman describes the book best in his preface: "This small book is meant not as a substitute for a comprehensive volume on rhetoric, grammar, and mechanics, but as a complement to such a text, designed to present in a few pages the chief concerns of a writer sending a message to a reader."
