IN SEARCH OF SILVER AND GOLDThis is a story of a young man who graduated from High School and six days later enlisted in the Navy with a career in the Submarine force as his goal. He also served on an Ammunition Supply ship and a Submarine Tender. Captain Doyle went to sea with Admiral Rickover on acceptance trials of each of the four nuclear submarines. He was the Bridge Phone Talker on the first two and was the Officer of the Deck on the second two.In Search of Silver and Gold chronicles Captain Doyle's Navy career and highlights the life career decisions and life threatening events that arose throughout his thirty-seven year adventure!
