In Search of an Everlasting Butterfly

I have been searching for an everlasting butterfly.
In nature, the metamorphosis from caterpillar to butterfly is written into the DNA-planned, programmed, inevitable. Every caterpillar becomes a butterfly.
But the human mind and heart are not so fortunate. They are shaped, conditioned, and often confined by the environments into which we are born. At every moment we inhabit a different state of being: most of the time crawling as caterpillars, and only for brief, luminous moments touching the wings of a butterfly-a higher state of consciousness.
For years I searched the world for a true butterfly, a being who lived in that higher state. I searched in books, in people, in distant places. I searched and searched, but found none.
Until one day, lying beneath an olive tree, I discovered the butterfly I had been seeking.
It had been in my own heart all along.

Everyone and everything in the universe has a story. Our individual and collective stories shape our lives and societies. Our stories can make us fly like a butterfly or crawl like a caterpillar. They can make us unite or divide. We are one people sharing one planet and one future. The global issues of our times cannot be addressed if we are divided. We need a new collective and unifying story. In Search of an Everlasting Butterfly is about letting go of our personal, local, and global old stories to one born anew; an everlasting Butterfly story, a transformational journey toward an everlasting balance and harmony. The time has come for an inward transformation toward an inner freedom from all disunifying conditionings, concepts, and old cultural stories that have been wrought in our minds, hearts, and souls. It is time for a new era and an everlasting Butterfly story that bring universal harmony, balance, and love.
