This book is a work of fiction set mainly in Florida and the Bahamas about a freelance intel operative Max Fontaine seeking revenge for his wife's botched murder by a corrupt CIA agent in league with a narcotics ring using an archeological dig as a cover for drug trafficking. Discovering they had an affair and that the agent tried to have her killed when she threatened to expose her role as the cartel's bagwoman, he accepts a mission from his handlers to destroy the cartel in return for the right to terminate the agent and make off with a fortune in cocaine and heroin hidden on a remote Bahamian island.Fleeing Florida after wounding the agent, Max sails his trimaran Seahawk to the Bahamas where he starts a marine salvage business and finds a new love interest. Just as he settles into his new life, he is approached by former handlers to bring down the drug traffickers and close the archeological dig believed to be a front for running narcotics to Florida in collusion with the CIA agent. Suspecting the mission to be a trap, he accepts anyway provided he can kill the agent and steal the drugs. He and his leave a bloody wake as they fight their way out of the trap and engage the crooked agent in a final deadly encounter.make off with a fortune in cocaine and heroin hidden on a remote Bahamian island.
