In Principio. A Treatise on the Book of Genesis

By: Correa, Jesus Fernandez-Pedrera

A Profound and Intellectual Deep Dive into the Origins of Creation, Order, and the Cosmos.

In In Principio: A Treatise on the Book of Genesis, author Jes s Fern ndez-Pedrera delivers a comprehensive, verse-by-verse theological and philosophical analysis of the foundational chapters of the Bible. Moving beyond simple narrative, this treatise dissects the Hebrew text, traditional commentaries, and classical Christian thought-especially the writings of St. Augustine-to reveal the intricate, divine architecture of the 'Beginning.'

Fern ndez-Pedrera meticulously explores the fundamental concepts that define Western theological understanding:

The Nature of the Beginning: How 'Time' itself was initiated by the Word (Logos).Divine Order vs. Chaos: A detailed examination of the separating of Light from Darkness and Water from Land. The Imago Dei: Understanding the unique creation of humanity 'in the image and likeness' of God and the responsibility of dominion. The Theology of Rest: The cosmic significance of the Sabbath.

This scholarly yet spiritually resonant work serves as an essential companion for students of theology, philosophy, and biblical studies seeking a meaningful, structured encounter with the profound mysteries presented in the opening verses of Genesis. It is a work that bridges the gap between historical context and enduring metaphysical truth.
