A journey of faith

I got "IN HIS TIME" for 2 reasons- 1, I'm a Christian and a daughter of the Most High King, and 2, I'm a HUGE Taylor Hicks fan. When I heard that a character in the book was based on him, I had to order it right away. It took me two days to read, and what a delightful experience it was. To see Sharla start off as a shy, rather self-deprecating person with an obsession with a TV celebrity, and grow into a strong, self-confident woman was a joy to see and to be a part of. But seeing her faith journey was what made the book that much more powerful, and the lesson that she learned during this journey that we can apply to our own lives- don't say "NO" when God says "YES". This can go as far as maybe thinking that God may still bring me the man of my dreams, even at age 54. If you're a woman who wants to see what faith can do, read this book.

An entertaining and inspiring book

I was pleasantly surpised at how much I loved this book. It was full of emotions and suspense and done in a way I have never read before. Kind of like a spoof written about a character writting a book about a story that many of us can relate to. It also is an inspiring message about faith at the same time. You've just got to read it to understand. It's really good!
