In Her Mind's Eye: A Tale from the Lux Series

Posing as a college student at Attican Southern Institute, Davina Walker is one test mission away from being promoted to an official Order Operative for the Confederation. When the safe house is compromised following the death of Attican Emperor Alexi, The Second, Davina finds herself on the run and reunited with her long-estranged mother. As memories of her accident five years ago start slowly resurfacing, Davina pieces together a horrifying realization: that while she thought she was on a mission of her own, to her friends and the love of her life, she was the mission.

Behind enemy lines, both in Attica and her home in the Confederation, Davina throws herself into the role of a lifetime-pretending she's made a full recovery from her partial amnesia as she reclaims her place as the twelfth Contessa of the Confederation. As tensions rise between the Confederation and Attica, in between attacks from the Brazen and a dangerous proposal from the Crown Prince, it is becoming even more urgent for Davina to remember who she was to save her country and her heart.
